Oh yes way! These cookies were like Heaven in your mouth. Not completely vegan because of the mini chocolate chips and Reese’s, but if you can find vegan alternatives for those please let me know about them!

Was vegan pizza! It was amazing. The cheese may not look totally melted in the picture, but trust me it was ^_^

Today I decided to whip together things I had around the house to make a yummy vegan sandwich! All I used was a roll, veganaise, a couple slices of vegan cheese that I melted onto the bread, vegan ground “beef” that I fried up, and lettuce. It was pretty yummy I must say :D

Sorry for the lack of updates recently! We have both been so busy with work, school, other projects, and so forth that we haven’t had a ton of time for cooking (I know I know, such a crime >_<), but I swear we’ll do better! After all, the holiday season is coming up, a perfect time to cook and bake amazing yummies!

My salad I had for lunch the other day! I made it with just some left over things that I had in the kitchen so theres no specific recipe but here are the ingredients I used:

  • romaine lettuce
  • baby greens spring salad mix
  • chopped up chicken breast
  • toasted almond slivers
  • dried cranberries
  • feta cheese
  • thinly sliced red onion
  • light Italian dressing

And the bread was a jalapeno cheesy bread that i got from the store…so delish!

My first attempt at vegan cheesecake! It came out pretty good, a few minor adjustments can be made for it to be even better next time :D

Yum yum! If you want to make your own, I got the recipe from here: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=13702.0 and then just added my own peach topping which was just peaches and a little sugar heated and thickened in a saucepan. Let me know if you make one yourself!

Yesterday I decided to make some green tea cookies, and some homemade ice tea to go with them!

Sugarfall! Better than Niagra falls for sure :P

The green tea (or matcha) powder is what gives the dough it’s green look.

Last Christmas our grandma gave us this cookie spoon. It’s so very useful.

Making the ice tea ^_^

Bon Appetite!

Hey all!

This is Alex. I am a new co-owner of this blog now, along with my sister Eartha. We are going to be posting pics/videos/texts about food we love. Mainly vegan, hopefully a lot of international dishes, so we hope you guys enjoy!

This is all part of my personal journey to become a better cook/baker. I knew Eartha had a food blog and wanted to start one myself, but then we decided it’d be even cooler if we collaborated on the one she already had started ^_^

Thanks for following and can’t wait to start posting yummy stuff!

P.S. PLEASE FOLLOW MY PERSONAL BLOG TOO!! http://alexisgorges.tumblr.com/

I made these amazingly good/sinful cookies once before and they were such a big hit I decided to make them again while my sister’s boyfriend was in town because he loves oreos…and once again, they were soooooo delicious!

  • 1 cup vegan butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egss
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups vegan semisweet chocolate chips
  • 18-20 oreos

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugars in a large bowl. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt to the wet ingredients. When thoroughly mixed together add the chocolate chips. Take a ping-pong ball (or a little smaller) sized amount of dough and flatten it out in your hand. Cover oreo completely in the flattened cookie dough. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

I like to eat these cookies plain, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Either way, I can guarantee that they will satisfy your sweet tooth!

Yes, I am still alive! I am so sorry for my major lack of posts, I have been so busy with finishing school that I have’t had much free time to make any post worthy foods let alone actually take pictures and post them as well! But now that I am in my last couple weeks for school I hope to start posting more often again. So with that being said, I give you vegan chocolate almond cookies! I made these cookies kind of on a whim so I didn’t measure anything. T_T But I decided to post them anyways because they actually turned out really yummy. This is what I put in them and the directions to make them.

Cookie dough

  • vegan butter (I used a very small amount of butter to keep it lowfat)
  • unsweetened apple sauce
  • almond extract
  • granulated sugar
  • flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • unsweetened cocoa power
  • almond flakes

Chocolate glaze

  • vegan chocolate chips
  • vegan butter

Preheat oven to 350. To make the dough, mix vegan butter, apple sauce, sugar, and almond extract together. Add flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder to mixture. Stir in almond flakes after wet and dry ingredients are all mixed together. roll dough into balls, place on cookie sheet, and then flatten slightly. Bake for 10-12 minutes. For the chocolate glaze melt chocolate chips and vegan butter in a double boiler then let cool for about 10 minutes before spreading on top of the cookies.

I’m so sorry there are no measurements but if you know how to bake then you can probably figure it out and if you don’t know how to bake…well then it can be an interesting experiment. ;)
